LOCATION:  GEORGETOWN, TEXAS

CLIENT:  CITY OF GEORGETOWN

The project consisted of an environmental assessment to determine if relocating a one-mile segment of Lakeway Drive and extending the airport runway by 900' would have significant impacts on the environment of the area south of the airport. Twenty different potential environmental impact categories were evaluated, including noise, land, land use, social effects, air and water quality, biotic communities, historical, archeological, endangered species, wetlands, flood Marfa, farmlands, natural resources, and others.   The proposed project was presented to the public in a scheduled Public Hearing in City Council Chambers.  Final results indicated no significant impact on the environment and the project proceeded forward to design and construction
